CARNEY WINS!
Clarks Summit, PA—Congressman Chris Carney has won re-election for a second term, defeating Chris Hackett.
“I am so honored to win such a resounding re-election,” said Chris Carney. “Chris Hackett was gracious enough to call and concede. We are very concerned about every vote being counted in Northumberland County, and we are all want a resolution where every vote is counted.
“I am so humbled by this outpouring of support, and I pledge to continue to work in a bipartisan manner to fight for the people of northeast and central Pennsylvania in Congress.
“I would not be standing here as your Congressman without the hard work, countless hours and tireless efforts of so many people. To our hundreds of faithful volunteers, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. A special thank you to my wife Jennifer for her support, and our five wonderful children—Ryne, Sean, Seth, Keeley and Brett.
“I am anxiously awaiting our next term in Congress, where we can tackle the costs of health care, explore alternative energy and work toward energy independence, fight for more federal funding and jobs for our region, and continue to push for more middle class tax cuts. Working together, I know we can make this happen. To the voters of the 10th district, thank you again for this opportunity to be your Member of Congress.”
